Moved from Brazil to Czech Republic, to start working as a batch scheduler for french customer using IBM products (z/OS) such as OPC (TWS) as well as CA-7 and CA Scheduler.
After joining a newly-formed IMS team we travelled to Saint Louis, MO, USA to do a knowledge transfer of IMS system support role. Although in short notice and with no former IMS training we were instructed about the environment, systems, IMS upgrade procedures and homegrown tools of AT&T customer.
I was part of a special new team assembled to diminish the number of oncalls to senior support personnel, named "Generalist support team". We were the 1st level of contact for system operators of z/OS and z/VM systems.
Worked as a z/OS system operator from 2004 to 2007, doing IPLs, time changes, console and Netview monitoring, as well as job restarts and small modifications in JCL and job flows in OPC/TWS.
