Diana Mastracci Sanchez

Summary

12 years of experience researching and developing space-based solutions for Indigenous and underrepresented groups. I have worked with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (NASA), the European Space Agency, Citizen Cyberlab, and the University of Oxford, among others, to co-design events, programs, and collaborative spaces that promote the full adoption of space resources. I center user needs and Indigenous ways of knowing to create frameworks, models, and networks that bridge the scientific and technology sector with minority communities around the world. I have presented my work at several international conferences and have been invited as a keynote speaker to FOSS4G 2021, World Expo Dubai 2021, and the ISPIM conference Innovating our Future. I was recently featured on the BBC program 39 Ways to Save the Planet.
