The position of Treasury and Tax for Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia includes following tasks: to ensure that short-term cash is invested at competitive rates and long-term financing is secured on the best level in cooperation with Group Treasury in Brussels and local banks
An important part of this position is also negotiation with banks across the whole region (CZ/HU/SK) to secure the best financing for IKEA organisations; communication within the Group Treasury, reporting monthly liquidity reports and implementation of the treasury policy; to follow the forecasts and evaluation of the financial modelling platform based on company results
The tax and legal part includes responsibility for contracts and agreements (both external and intercompany) and for the clear implementation of the Group Transfer pricing documentation and Tax manuals within CZ/SK
As a responsible for tax, I cooperated with finance departments and other involved and also with external tax advisors to support that all necessary tax rules are followed
My leading experience on this working position was to lead the involved co-workers to fulfil the appropriate treasury tasks
This means to secure the implementation of tools, working methods and the best practices
As an accountant for Trading Service Office in Prague my main tasks were booking of accounts payable and accounts receivable in a correct way, maintain reconciliations (both external and intercompany), participation on the interim audit and year-end closing
An important part was also assisting in the monthly closing and daily cooperation with TSO Operations manager
