As a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserves and through my academic, professional, and personal experiences, I have engaged with multilateral security affairs from both theoretical and practical perspectives. My ability to work in a multinational environment is further enhanced by my fluency in Czech, Slovak, and Russian language. I was born to parents working for the U.S. Department of State, from whom I learned to respect and integrate with different foreign nationals, cultures, and religions. I gained this experience from living in countries such as Mozambique, Romania, Turkey, Italy, and France among others. My permanent residence is now in Prague, Czech Republic. I believe it is not only my language skills that set me apart, but rather also my ability to adapt to diverse ways of living and working, which allows me to build trust and cooperation. I am currently pursuing a position where I can apply these skills in a way that complements my academic background in International Security.
In the U.S. Army reserves, I currently work in an environment that focuses on logistics and readiness in Europe. During my initial active duty training, I completed Basic Combat Training and commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant through the Officer Candidate School. My reservist obligations consist of training one weekend a month, and two weeks of annual training in the summer.
I took on this role at Amazon as an opportunity directly after finishing university. It allows me to gain valuable experience as a people manager and project manager while I continue to grow professionally and search for positions more aligned with my International Security background.
Part-time job during my time as a student. I worked with groups of adults at the scientific instituiton ELI ERIC, where I led students to achieve a higher level of English in their multinational work environment.
